Developing a scalable hyperloop to connect EU countries at 1000km/h with 0 direct emissions
Zeleros is the European company based in Spain leading the development of hyperloop, a new transport system to connect cities and logistics hubs at 1000 km / h with 0 direct emissions and high energy efficiency. The company applies novel electric propulsion technologies to decarbonize and automate heavy-duty mobility systems.
Zeleros is the European company based in Spain leading the development of a scalable hyperloop system. Zeleros’ unique technologies integrated in the vehicle radically reduce hyperloop infrastructure costs per kilometer. The system also shortens path-to-market and offers a straight certification journey thanks to its operation at aviation pressure levels, using vastly proven safety systems for airplanes and railway. Zeleros’ mission is to become the world's most scalable hyperloop system, and is validating the technologies with extensive testing, including the promotion of a European Hyperloop Development Center in Spain, including a high-speed test-track and test-benches to demonstrate the efficiency of the system.
The company mobilizes more than 180 people worldwide, working with world-renowned leaders in the railway, infrastructure, aviation and energy sectors such as Renfe, Airbus, Acciona, Arcelormittal, ITP Aero, Red Eléctrica de España, Capgemini Engineering, EIT Innoenergy, and CAF Group, as well as with research centers like CIEMAT and international investors such as Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play Tech Center or UK’s Goldacre.
A consolidated global hyperloop network could avoid more than 6.3 gigatonnes of GHG emissions by 2050, with an annual revenue opportunity of 271 billion euros, the hyperloop network of 88200 kilometers connecting more than 40 countries, transporting 1,5 billion passengers and 27,5 million tonnes of freight per year, becoming the backbone of the economic, social, and sustainable progress.
Zeleros keeps growing. Zeleros' hyperloop vehicle, Z01, has been exhibited in Spain Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, being the first hyperloop to be exhibited at a Universal Expo. Several institutional personalities such as Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez or His Highness Prince of Dubai, among others, have already visited Zeleros’ hyperloop vehicle. Also, the company recently announced the construction in the Port of Sagunto (Spain) of a prototype of the SELF (Sustainable Electric Freight-forwarder), an autonomous container transport system to accelerate the transition of ports and airports towards sustainability. This technology will allow the company to advance in the development of its hyperloop system with an application aimed at decarbonising container movements between terminals. Thus, the project is aligned with the EU Sustainable Development Goals, paving the way to build a future with low carbon emissions and more sustainable port mobility
Finally, Zeleros works hand in hand with the European Commission institutions and ecosystem players for the creation of a regulatory and standards framework to ensure hyperloop cross-border interoperability, becoming a global reference in ultra-high-speed mobility to expand the Trans-European high-speed transport network and beyond.
