Giulia Van Waeyenberge is member of the Executive Committee at Sofina. Sofina is a global growth family-run investment company focusing on 4 sectors (healthcare, consumer & retail, education and digital transformation) with € 9,9 bn AUM. Sofina aspires to be the preferred partner of entrepreneurs who lead innovative companies by backing them with patient capital and supportive advice.
She represents Sofina through board mandates of Collibra, GL events and Mérieux Nutrisciences. She is independent director of the Port of Antwerp and supports non-profit initiatives: MVWFondation (leukemia), Vocatio (boosting young talents), Syndicate One (fostering early-stage tech ecosystem in Belgium) and Level20 (encouraging more women in investment roles).
She holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering (Catholic University of Leuven) and a MSc in Applied Economics (Singapore Management University). She followed the International Directors Programme at INSEAD, the Audit Committee in the New Era at Harvard and an Executive Leadership Program at IMD.
