A former diplomat and entrepreneur, with extensive experience and networks across the United States and Europe, he helps institutions and businesses to strategically innovate, build partnerships, negotiate internationally, and be successful in a competitive global market.
He served as the Science and Technology Counselor at the Embassy of Italy in Washington DC (2010-18) and in that position, he worked with leading US Federal Agencies (NSF, DOD, DOE, DHS ect), giving him an exceptional understanding of the operation of the U.S innovation system.
At the invitation of the US National Academy of Sciences, he also serves as a member of the Global Science Diplomacy Roundtable and at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) as a Senior Associate (Non-Resident) within the Renewing American Innovation initiative.
Before his appointment as Science Counselor of the Italian Embassy to the United States, he coordinated the Business incubator at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He holds a BA in Institutional Communication and a MA in Security and Defense Studies.
