Victoria Cochrane

Victoria Cochrane is Associate Director for Research at Esade. She has over twenty years of experience coordinating, managing and administrating EU funded research, as well as training on technology transfer, IPR and ethics. She holds an MA from Kings College London, and before joining Esade she led the Research and Technology Transfer Office at one of Barcelona’s top biomedical research institutes (IDIBELL) and has worked as EU project manager at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the University of Leicester.

Victoria has been working closely alongside colleagues at CERN in EC Innovation Initiatives and Funding Programmes, particularly the ATTRACT Initiative, which has developed and is testing a funding model to help diminish the time needed and increase the chances of great ideas leaving labs and directly benefiting society. It brings a diverse set of stakeholders together aimed at bridging diverging interests.
